A short 3D animation earns its place when movement, internal structure or atmosphere stays hidden in a photograph. The 3D production comes through Loistopixel, and I take care of what the animation shows, where it sits on the page and how it is delivered light enough for a phone.

When does a short 3D animation make sense?
3D earns its place when a camera cannot get to the subject. The inside of a package, the movement of parts, a product that does not physically exist yet, or an angle that would be awkward to stage in a studio. In those cases the motion is not decoration, it is the fastest way to explain the product.
Picture a buyer opening the page on a phone. You get a couple of seconds. A short animation can show the shape, open the structure and put the product back together without a single line of copy.

What drives the price?
Length tells you surprisingly little. Five seconds can be heavy work if the product is modelled from scratch and the materials are demanding. A calm camera move around a finished model is simpler.
A focused product animation is the cheapest way to start. Loistopixel's Loisto Startti package was checked on 1 August 2026 at EUR 700 + VAT, and it covers the 3D model of one product, a 5-8 second animation and one product image. Scripted multi-scene productions, callout graphics and wide channel versions are always quoted separately.

A long video looping automatically on a website is heavy and usually pointless. A short loop, a good poster image and sensible encoding do more. The page should look finished before the video has loaded.
Decide the channel versions before rendering. The key detail in a landscape frame disappears in a vertical crop, and adding a new aspect ratio later means rendering again.

Do I need an existing 3D model?
No. The model can be built from product photos, measurements or drawings. If a usable 3D or CAD file already exists, it can be used.
Do you animate this yourself?
I do not sell this as my own 3D studio. The 3D production comes through Loistopixel, and I take care of what the animation shows, how it fits the page and which channels it serves.
Can the animation sit at the top of the homepage?
Yes, as long as the file stays light, a poster image is in place and the motion eases off when the browser asks for less of it. Use a short loop instead of a long autoplaying video.
